Founded in 1989, the
Pacific Coast Air Museum
is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the acquisition, restoration, safe operation and display of historic aircraft, preserving aviation history, and providing an educational venue for students and the community.

We also honor those heroic aviators who have contributed so much to the growth and defense of our way of life.

January 16	Join us as we start the new year with local author Nancy Wilson who will be giving us insight into a lesser know aviatrix from the early years of aviation. Nancy’s work is titled “Queen of Speed – The Racy Life of Mary Petre Bruce”
February 20	From Crusaders to Peanuts! A Very Unusual Personal Story. Pacific Coast Air Museum’s “Plane in the Park” an F-8U Crusader currently undergoing restoration. Our guest speaker will be Mr. Don Fraser, former Captain, USMC, speaking about his experiences as one of the first to fly the F-8 Crusader with VMF-323 - the first West Coast USMC squadron to operate that fighter. Don served with the squadron from 1958 through 1960.
March 20	Navy Test Pilot – Operational Test and Evaluation Commander Ken Wood, USN (Ret.) will be talking about his experiences as a Naval Aviator including Navy Test Pilot School and flying projects while assigned to VX-5 at Naval Air Test Center, China Lake, CA.
April 17	U.S. Coast Guard Helicopter Operations as experienced by a Black Shoe. (a Non-pilot) Our guest speaker this month is Wayne Seamons, the 2013 Wings Over Wine Country Air Show Director. Wayne is a retired US Coast Guard Lieutenant Commander who came up through the enlisted ranks to serve more than 20 years. He will be sharing some of his stories and experiences operating around USCG helicopters during his years of service.
