Founded in 1989, the
Pacific Coast Air Museum
is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the acquisition, restoration, safe operation and display of historic aircraft, preserving aviation history, and providing an educational venue for students and the community.

We also honor those heroic aviators who have contributed so much to the growth and defense of our way of life.

Aviation Summer School

The Pacific Coast Air Museum is providing two unique educational experiences for students 8th to 12th grade. Each syllabus provides five days of exciting classroom aviation activities.

Course 1   June 4-8, 2012

  • Forces of Flight
  • History of Flight
  • Aircraft Safety
  • Aircraft Engines
  • Altitude Density
    		•  Course 2   June 11-15, 2012

  • Navigation
  • Flight Planning
  • Aviation Careers
  • Weight and Balance
  • Aircraft Performance
    		•
    Both courses will include:

  • Touring the Museum's artifacts
  • Being a Pilot on our Flight Simulator
  • Visiting the Control Tower
  • Flying with a Museum's Licensed Pilot
  • Sitting at the Controls of a Huey Helicopter

    Added Bonus:
    A Graduation flight around Sonoma County

    Monday thru Friday

    Tuition for each course is $145.00 Students may take both courses (Includes two flights).

    These 15 hour classes cover may topics related to aviation as the principles of flight, aviation pioneers, aircraft safety and features guest speakers from many areas of aviation, a visit to the Sonoma County Control Tower and a flight with a Pacific Coast Air Museum Pilot.
