Volunteer
WANTED!

If you answered yes to at least two of the questions, this is for you! The Gift Shop is looking for volunteers who would like to help out.
A lot of you may have the idea that helping in the “Gift Shop” is not as exciting and fun as helping out in other areas of the museum…i.e. aircraft crew, however it can be just as exciting and fun, if not more at times.
The docents in the Gift Shop are the first and the last people our visitors see when visiting our museum. When a visitor comes in the door, a lot of them are there for personal reasons…i.e., dad or grandfather flew or worked on one of the planes, or better yet, they flew one of the planes themselves! They usually have a story to tell…just ask.
You would be amazed at some of the stories they have to tell. One was a gentleman that served on 6 aircraft carriers, 4 of which sunk, and one was involved in the search for Amelia Earhart!!! Imagine, to be talking with a man that was actually out flying, looking for Amelia!!!
Don’t worry if you have no retail experience. we will train you. It’s really pretty easy.
