New Paint
The Huey has been painted to
display the markings of the 188th Assault Helicopter Company
"Black Widows". This aircraft, tail number
66-16779, spent six months in the unit and was flown during
combat operations by Black Widow air crews. The Bulls-eye
markings of the 269th Combat Aviation Battalion "Black
Barons", the white markings of the 2nd platoon and the
"Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" door art is one
example of the schemes created in the 1st Aviation Brigade.
