This view of the Invader shows the airframe prior to having the landing gear installed. Work had been done on the wings and interior but installation of the landing gear provided better access to the underside of the airframe.

Once on it's gear, the bomb bay doors were addressed which turned out to be quite a job. In an earlier life the Invader's bomb bay had been riveted shut and hundreds of rivets had to be drilled out to allow them to be dropped. When the doors were opened, large amounts of dirt and mud had to be cleared as the airframe had set on the ground for years prior to being acquired by PCAM.
